Thin griddled beef with melted cheese and soft onions stuffed into a soft hoagie roll. A proper hearty sandwich. Serves 2.
Freeze the 500 g sirloin for 20 minutes, then slice it very thin. Heat the 15 ml olive oil on a griddle or wide pan over high heat and sear the beef hard for 3 to 4 minutes, chopping it up as it cooks.
Push the beef aside and add the butter, the sliced onion and green pepper. Cook for 4 to 5 minutes until soft, then mix them through the beef.
Gather the beef into two piles, lay the 120 g provolone over the top and let it melt for 1 to 2 minutes.
Scoop each cheesy pile straight into a soft hoagie roll.
Serve hot, each sandwich cut in half.
