Crispy fried halloumi drizzled with spicy hot honey. Sweet, salty and hot all at once.
Pat the 250 g halloumi dry and cut it into slices about 1 cm thick.
Heat the 15 ml olive oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Fry the halloumi for 2 to 3 minutes on each side until deep golden and crisp.
In a small pan warm the honey with the red pepper flakes over low heat for 1 to 2 minutes until loose and fragrant, without letting it boil.
Arrange the hot halloumi on a plate and drizzle the warm hot honey over the top.
Add a squeeze from the half lemon and scatter over a few thyme leaves. Serve straight away while crisp.
